The plot follows Aloy, a hunter in a world overrun by machines, who sets out to uncover her past. She must combat the mechanical creatures and other enemy forces using ranged weapons, a spear and stealth.

The Eclipse is a non-tribal faction, it is a secret militaristic cult in service to the rogue artificial intelligence HADES.
